An intrepid guided trek through the jungle interior of Vanuatu’s fabled Malekula Island. A 5-day tour on the iconic Manbush Trail as described in lonely planet and by visiting film crews. Guests will have their own Manbush guide who will introduce them to  Manbush life and stories. A new tour has been added, get more information here .

The group will pass through bush villages and see how people today still practice many of their ancient ways of life. Travel in a circuit by truck, foot and boat from Norsup/Lakatoro down the east coast and back up the west coast.

Trek itinerary:

Day 1: Norsup/Lakatoro – Unua by truck (2 hours), then Unua-Lambure (6 hour walk approx.) The truck will pick guest up from the  accommodation or airport down to east coast to start the guided tour, walking through Melken & Lambure Village for an overnight.
Day 2: Lambure – Mt Laimbele (6 hour walk approx.) Camp out in a bush shelter on top of Mt Laimbele where guests can catch sight of the awesome glow from the volcanoes of Ambrym.
Day 3: Mt Laimbele – Lebongbong (6 hour walk approx) Great birdlife and even you can spot some wild cattle. Arrive at the guesthouse in Lebongbong in the afternoon ready to enjoy some special Man bush food (in season) –Nesowong is a dish made from bush banana, water taro and coconut milk.
Day 4: Complete the trek and overnight at Lumete Bungalow.
Day 5: From Lumete Beach guests can either choose to boat and truck back to Norsup in Malekula or fly from South West Bay to Vila.
